Loaded with Mexican flavours and yet nutritious, this Taco Salad is made with typical taco stuffings served in a tortilla bowl. Here is the recipe for you to try out.

Ingredients

1 cup kidney beans, boiled 1 cup lettuce, chopped ½ cup tomatoes, chopped ½ cup avocado, chopped ½ cup corn, boiled ¼ cup onions, chopped 1 tsp chilli flakes 1 tbsp jalapenos, chopped Salt, to taste 3 tbsp sour cream ½ cup cheese, grated 2 tbsp lemon juice 4 tortillas

Step 1

Place the tortillas over upturned baking bowls and bake in the oven for 10 minutes.

Step 2

Once the tortillas cool down, remove them from the bowls and keep the tortilla bowls ready.

Step 3

In a large bowl, mix the kidney beans, lettuce, tomatoes, avocadoes, corn, onions and jalapenos.

Add the chilli flakes, salt, lemon juice, sour cream and cheese and mix everything again.

Step 5

Place the salad in the tortilla bowls and enjoy your delicious Taco Salad.
