Homemade Waffles are a yummy breakfast treat that can be topped with fresh fruits, maple syrup, or whipped cream. Light, crispy, and easy to make, here is how to make a batch at home!
1 cup maida 2 tbsp sugar 1 tsp baking powder ¼ tsp salt ¾ cup milk 1 egg 2 tbsp melted butter or oil ½ tsp vanilla extract
Plug in your waffle maker and let it heat up while you prepare the batter.
Whisk together maida, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a big bowl.
In another bowl, beat the egg and mix with milk, melted butter and vanilla extract.
Pour the wet mix into the dry mix and gently mix until just combined. Don’t overmix; a few lumps are fine.
Grease the waffle maker lightly, pour a ladleful of batter and spread evenly. Close the lid and cook for 3-5 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Remove carefully and serve hot with your choice of toppings like honey, fresh fruits or melted chocolate.
