Sabudana Momos are a special version of momos for vrat days. Made with sabudana (tapioca pearls) and potato stuffing, these momos are light, filling and perfect for Navratri. With their chewy texture and a hint of spices, they are a nice change from regular vrat food.
1 cup sabudana 2 medium potatoes 2 tbsp peanut powder 1 green chilli 1 tsp jeera 1 tbsp coriander leaves 1 tbsp ghee Sendha namak to taste ½ tsp black pepper powder
Drain the soaked sabudana and blend it coarsely in a grinder. Knead it into a soft dough with a pinch of sendha namak.
In a bowl, mix mashed potatoes, peanut powder, green chili, jeera, coriander leaves, black pepper and salt.
Take a small ball of sabudana dough, flatten it and add a spoonful of the potato mixture in the centre.
Fold and seal the edges carefully and shape into a momo. Place the momos in a greased steamer and steam for 10-12 minutes until they are translucent.
Serve these Sabudana Momos with vrat chutney or yoghurt for a nice vrat snack.
