Agra is swarming with good places to eat. The city has its own unique specialities when it comes to food and is well known for them.
One of Agra's most recognisable street foods, is made from white pumpkin or ash gourd and almonds for a distinctive flavour.
Mughlai food is regarded as a memento of the Mughal era. Dried nuts with meat flavour make up the majority of the Mughlai Cuisine.
Another delicacies of Agra is Bhalla, made of fried, mashed potatoes and combined with various Indian spices, chickpea curry, and chutney.
Dalmoth is made by Nuts, spices, and fried lentils. Since it is dry, can be used as snacks with beer or whisky.
Bedai or Kachori is a spicy, fried puffy bread which is served with hot/grilled potato that is topped with curd.
Jaledi is a spiral dessert made from fermented batter, dipped in a sugar syrup and served best when hot.
Served with Chutneys and flatbread filled with spiciness. Also topped with green sauce made from mint leaves.
Paneer is combined with sauce, potatoes and green peas. Grilled with chutney, this is a terrific starting snack.
A soft and fluffy Gujiya made with Urad dal batter, which is then soaked in sugar syrup and served with curd.
