From giving up butter chicken to adopting a gluten-free, sugar-free and almost dairy-free diet, Virat Kohli's fitness journey hasn't been easy, but is surely worth talking about.
His day starts with egg-whites omelette, spinach, black pepper and cheese, or grilled bacon or smoked salmon. Papaya, dragon fruit or watermelon are common feature too.
For lunch he likes grilled chicken, spinach and mashed potatoes. While dinner is only seafood.
Virat is also a fan of green tea with a hint of lemon. The low-cal drink, helps cut fat and rev up metabolism.
Kohli also does not consume gluten and processed sugar. On tours he carries his own nut butters and pairs them with gluten-free breads.
While Virat is not fully vegan yet like actor and wife Anushka Sharma, but he tries to avoid dairy as much as he can.
In an interview to a leading daily, he said he eats for 90 per cent of his stomach's capacity only. He never over-eats.
He also snacks very cautiously, and is very conscious of what he is adding on his plate.
