Soy Milk is a perfect alternative to Dairy Milk and is rich in nutrients and flavour. Packaged soy milk might be concerning regarding the added chemicals and preservatives. Here is how you can make your own soy milk at home in simple steps.

1 cup dried soybeans 4 cups water for soaking 4 cups water for blending Sweeteners (optional) such as sugar or agave syrup Vanilla extract (optional) for flavour

Rinse 1 cup of dried soybeans and soak them in 4 cups of water overnight or for at least 8 hours.

Drain and rinse the soaked soybeans thoroughly.

Combine soaked soybeans with 4 cups of fresh water in a blender and blend until smooth.

Place a fine-mesh strainer over a bowl. Strain the blended mixture to separate soy milk from the pulp.

Squeeze or press the soybean pulp to extract the remaining liquid. Set aside the pulp for other uses.

Add sweetener and vanilla extract to the strained soy milk, adjusting to taste.

Transfer soy milk to a container and refrigerate. Shake before use, and consume within 3-4 days.
