Monsoon evenings calls for spicy and hot food and what can be better than tikka! Did this make you worry about the calories and unhealthy fats? If yes, then you do not need to worry as we have a delicous and healthy spinoff to your regular paneer tikka. We will share with you how to make high protein Tofu tikka at home. Check it out:
200 grams tofu 1 cup hung curd 1 ½ tsp besan 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp kashmiri chilli powder ½ tsp cumin powder 1 tbsp coriander powder ½ tsp turmeric powder ½ tsp black pepper powder
1 large onion 1 capsicum 2 tomatoes ¼ tsp tandoori masala 1 handful chopped coriander leaves Salt as per taste 1 tsp kasuri methi 1 tbsp lemon juice 1 tsp olive oil
Cut the tofu in bite size pieces
Take a bowl, add in lemon juice, salt and pepper, followed by ginger-garlic paste. Whisk it well and marinate the tofu chunks for 30-40 minutes.
Wash and cut the veggies in large chunks and keep aside
Take a large bowl and add in curd, fresh cream, oil, spices and herbs. Whisk and make a smooth paste. Add besan and make a smooth mixture by sprinkling some water.
Add in the marinated tofu and all the other veggies. Mix them nicely and marinate for 20 minutes. Place them through wooden skewers.
Take an airfryer basket and place the tofu and roast for 15-20 minutes. Flip side and cook for 5 more minutes.
Serve hot with mint chutney or dip.
