Veg Poha Recipe: Hearty Breakfast To Relish All Year Round

Poha is consumed all across India for breakfast and snacking. It has not officially been titled, but it can be called the favourite dish of Indians. From North to South, people love to indulge in its variations, and Slurrp brings you the recipe for veg poha. Try it and you will never look back to the old boring ones.

Ingredients

1 chopped onion 1 chopped green chilli 2 cup poha 1 tbsp lemon juice ½ cup shredded cabbage ½ cup grated carrot ¼ cup boiled peas Salt to taste ½ tsp turmeric, red chilli powder ½ tsp mustard seeds 2 tbsp coriander leaves

Step 1

Wash all the vegetables, slice them or chop them, and keep them aside.

Step 2

Wash poha and keep it aside to fluff up while you cook vegetables.

Step 3

Heat a heavy-bottom kadhai, add mustard seeds, green chillies, and onions.

Step 4

Once onions are translucent, add other vegetables and turmeric powder.

Step 5

As soon as the vegetables are cooked, add poha and toss it gently to coat in a yellow hue.

Step 6

Sprinkle coriander leaves and pour lemon juice on the top before serving the breakfast.
