Vada pav is one of the most famous street foods of Maharashtra. If you are looking for a spicy snack to pair your tea with, why don’t you make vada pav? Here is a street-style recipe to follow.
3 potatoes 1/2 cup besan 1 teaspoon chopped green chilli 1 teaspoon chopped ginger 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder A pinch of hing Salt to taste Oil for frying Coriander chutney to taste Tamarind chutney to taste 1 packet of pav
Heat some oil and saute cumin seeds, hing, chopped ginger, and green chilli.
Add boiled and mashed potatoes, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook till you get a fragrant mixture.
While the filling cools, make the batter by mixing besan, salt, turmeric powder, and water.
Heat some oil and saute cumin seeds, hing, chopped ginger, and green chilli.
Take pavs, slit them, and spread coriander and tamarind chutney on each side.
Finally, add the fried vada to the pav and enjoy it hot.
