Vada Pav Recipe That Will Make Your Sunday Go Wow!

The main component of a vada pav is Batata Vada, which is stuffed between two slices of a pav (fluffy dinner roll) and topped with sweet, green, and dry garlic chutneys.

For The Vada Filling1 1/2 cups boiled and mashed potatoes2 green chillies , chopped1 1/2 tbsp grated garlic (lehsun)2 tsp roughly chopped ginger (adrak)

3/4 cup besan (bengal gram flour)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
A pinch of baking soda
1 tsp oil salt to taste
Pound garlic, green chillies and ginger. Heat oil and add mustard seeds, add asafoetida & curry leaves, sauté.
Add the pounded paste and mix. Add semi boiled potatoes, turmeric and salt mix well.
Let them cool, and divide them into rounds.
Add besan, turmeric powder, baking soda, oil and salt into water to make batter.
Dip the round vada filling into batter and coat them well. Now fry the vada balls
Slice the pav and add garlic chutney, place the vada and close it with a green chilli ( optional)
