Ukala, a popular home remedy in Maharashtra and Gujarat, is a comforting beverage embraced during seasonal changes for its potential to alleviate common ailments and promote well-being.
Milk: 1 cup Water: 1 cup Chironji: 1 tbsp Crushed Elaichi Pods: 2-3 pods Turmeric: 2 tsp Chai Masala: 2 tsp Jaggery Powder: 2 tbsp
Boil 1 cup of milk and 1 cup of water in a pot.
Add 1 tbsp of chironji and 2-3 crushed elaichi pods to the boiling mixture.
Incorporate 2 tsp of turmeric and 2 tsp of chai masala into the pot.
Allow the mixture to come to a boil again and let it cook for 5-7 minutes, ensuring the flavors blend well.
Finally, mix in 2 tbsp of jaggery powder to sweeten the Ukala. Your flavorful Ukala is now ready to be enjoyed!
