The crunchy puffed rice and spicy kick are the stars of this dish. This summer, treat yourself to a rush of flavour that will delight both your taste buds and your stomach.
Puffed Rice - 2 cups Urad Dal 1tsp Channa Dal 1tsp Peanuts - 1tbsp Oil- 1tbsp Mustard seed - ½ tsp Cumin seeds - ½ tsp Green chillies - 2,chopped Curry Leaves - 1sprig Turmeric powder - 1/2tsp Tomato - 1 chopped Onion - 1 chopped Lemon juice on top Chopped coriander for garnish
Combine the puffed rice with water in a bowl and mix well. Remove any excess water and set aside. Fry the peanuts, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and dal in a hot pan until they turn golden brown. Sauté green chilies, curry leaves and onions. Add turmeric and salt.
After that, throw in some tomatoes and simmer them until they soften. After 3 minutes of cooking, add the puffed rice and cover. It will burn and stick if you use more than that. For the garnish, drizzle some green coriander and lemon juice.
