Turn Instant Coffee Into Liqueur, Here's How

Coffee liqueurs are sweet and indulgent. Best enjoyed with dessert or in a cocktail.  But they're expensive to buy. Become your own mixologist and come whip up your own homemade coffee liqueur.

Ingredients

4 cups white (or brown) sugar 4 cups water ¾ cup instant coffee granules 2 tablespoons vanilla extract 4 cups vodka

Step 1

In a saucepan combine the sugar and water over medium heat and bring it to a boil and as soon as it’s bubbling, reduce the heat, and simmer for 10 minutes.

Step 2

Remove from heat, stir in instant coffee, and allow to cool. When cool, stir in vanilla extract and vodka. Pour into clean bottles and store in a cool dark place.
