Paneer dosa, masala dosa, rava dosa, and ghee dosa are quite common. But have you heard of lauki dosa? It is a unique recipe that will help you add a twist to your favourite South Indian delight. Here is how you can make it at home.
1.5 cups rice flour ½ lauki (bottle gourd) 4 cups water ½ cup rava 2 chopped green chillies 2 tablespoons coriander leaves Salt to taste 1 teaspoon cumin powder 1 chopped onion
Peel the bottle gourd, remove seeds, and dice it into pieces. Blend it in a food processor to make a smooth paste.
Add rava, rice flour, and water to the paste. Combine the ingredients well to ensure there are no lumps.
Add onion, green chillies, cumin powder, and coriander leaves to the batter. Stir it well and keep the batter aside.
After 10 minutes, spread the batter on a hot skillet. Grease its sides with ghee or butter.
You can also add potato filling or grated paneer on the top. This is an optional step to make lauki-paneer or lauki masala dosa.
When the base becomes brown and crispy, serve the lauki dosa with sambar and chutney.
