Try This Tamatar Ki Sabzi For Lazy Weekends & Weekdays

Tamatar is a tangy, slightly sweet recipe that is cherished across North India. It is one of those dishes that you can make over a lazy weekend or busy weekday. Not only is it easy to make but when paired with parathas, it makes for a wholesome meal.

Ingredients

2 green chillies 5 tomatoes 1 tsp cumin 1 onion ½ tsp turmeric, mustard 1 tsp coriander 2 tbsp oil 1 pinch of hing 1 tbsp coriander leaves Salt to taste 1 tsp sugar, red chilli powder

Step 1

Wash tomatoes and finely chop them.

Step 2

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin and mustard seeds.

Once seeds start to crackle, sprinkle hing and turmeric.

Saute onion and green chillies. Add tomatoes.

Sprinkle powdered spices, sugar, and salt.

Once the tomatoes are mushy, turn off the flame and enjoy tamatar sabzi.
