Stuffed pitas are satisfying, healthy and tasty when made with high-quality ingredients, incredibly nourishing and high in protein. Suitable as a go-to meal.
1 cup chickpeas, soaked & boiled 1 tbsp oil 1 onion 1 tbsp garlic 1 cup bell peppers 1/2 cup mushrooms 1/2 tsp cumin powder 1/2tsp coriander powder 1/2tsp Fennel Seeds 1 tsp oregano 1 tsp mixed herbs 1 tsp chilli flakes Salt to taste 1 tbsp tomato ketchup 1-2 tbsp coriander
Soak the desired amount of chickpeas overnight, and boil.
Heat oil in a pan. Saute the onion & garlic Add bell peppers & mushroom on low heat.
Add in all the spices & the chickpeas, put in tomato ketchup & coriander, mix it up really well.
Fill your pita pockets with the chickpeas. cook the pita bread on both sides till they are golden brown.
Your chickpea pita bread is ready .Serve hot with spreads, seasonings & dig in.
