Sugarcane juice is a classic Indian beverage that is savoured across the country during summer owing to its cooling qualities. Requiring only three main ingredients, it’s quite easy to craft this refreshing juice at home.
¼ cup water ½ a lemon ½ inch ginger 1 piece sugarcane, preferably large
To start off, slice the big piece of sugarcane into smaller pieces. Subsequently, peel the dense sugarcane skin along the nodes.
After the skin along the nodes has been removed entirely, dice the sugarcane pieces into even smaller pieces.
Place all the sugarcane pieces in a blender. Introduce ginger, water, and lemon juice to the sugarcane pieces in the blender.
Blend the sugarcane-ginger-water-lemon juice concoction for about three minutes. Ensure to combine the mixture well, so that you get as much juice as possible.
Once you have blended the ingredients to a satisfactory degree, strain the fresh juice into a glass. Add ice cubes to the juice and relish the chilled, rejuvenating beverage.
