Try This Scrumptious Gujiya by Nishat

Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour 2 tbsp semolina 1/4 cup ghee Water as needed 1 cup khoya/mawa (dried milk solids) 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1/4 cup chopped almonds 1/4 cup chopped cashews 1/4 cup raisins 1/4 tsp cardamom powder Oil for frying  

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and semolina. Add ghee and mix well to get a breadcrumb-like texture. 

Step 2

Gradually add water and knead the mixture to form a smooth and stiff dough. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20 minutes. 

Step 3

In a pan, crumble the khoya/mawa and cook it on low flame until it turns slightly brown in color. Stir continuously to avoid burning.
