Try This Healthy Mushroom Sandwich For A Simple Lunch

If you're looking for a quick and easy lunch idea that tastes gourmet without much effort, this mushroom sandwich is for you. Perfect for busy work days, it's packed with nutrition while still tasting luxurious.

Ingredients

200g sliced mushrooms 2 tbsp olive oil 2 cloves garlic, minced Salt and pepper to taste 4 slices whole grain bread 1 cup baby spinach leaves 1 ripe avocado, sliced Optional: mustard or mayonnaise for spreading

Step 1

Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Step 2

Add sliced mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes until they turn golden brown. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 3

Toast the whole-grain bread slices to your desired level of crispness.

Step 4

Assemble the sandwich by spreading mustard or mayonnaise (if desired) on one side of each bread slice.

Step 5
