This healthy Poha with green peas, also known as matar poha, is super tasty. You can also make this dish with frozen peas. The Indian spices make it so flavourful and yummy.
2 Cup Flattened rice (Poha) 1 Cup green peas (Matar) 1 Cup sliced onion 1 – 2greenchiliess, sliced 2 teaspoon mustard seeds 5 – 6 curry leaves ¼ Cup peanuts Salt to taste 1 teaspoon red chili powder ½ teaspoon sugar (optional) 1 teaspoon green chutney 4 tablespoon cooking oil Coriander leaves lemon Juice
Take a container and rinse poha with water. Once moistened, set aside.
Now heat oil in a heavy bottom pan. Add the mustard, curry leaves and green chilies fry for 10 – 20 seconds.
Now add sliced onion, peanut, and fry for 1 – 2 minutes till the onion turns light golden in color.
Take the green peas and fry nicely for 5 minutes. Season it with salt, sugar, and spices. Mix them well.
Now add the socked poha to the cooled peas combine well. Now Add fresh coriander, lemon juice, and green chutney.
Combine everything well and cover the pan with a lid and cook the poha for around 2 – 3 minutes.
When the flavors combine well and the poha is cooked well turn off the heat. Serve Matar Poha with tea.
