Fruit custard is one of the most frequently made summer desserts in Indian households. Apart from being a chilled and versatile dessert, you can also utilise seasonal fruits to please your sweet tooth.
1 litre milk 4 tablespoons custard powder 4-6 tablespoons sugar A pinch of cardamom powder 1 apple 1 banana 1 cup grapes 1 pomegranate 1 mango Any other seasonal fruits as preferred
Dissolve the custard powder in about 1/4 cup chilled milk. Make a lump-free paste.
Boil the remaining milk. Add sugar and cardamom powder. Stir till sugar dissolves.
Reduce the heat and pour the custard powder mixture into the hot milk.
Keep stirring till you get a thickened and uniform consistency. Let it cool.
Chop all the fruits and mix well. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours and dig in.
