Ingredients

– 1 cup long-grain white rice – 2 tablespoons vegetable oil – 1 small onion, finely chopped – 2 cloves garlic, minced – 1 cup tomato sauce (or 2 ripe tomatoes, blended) – 2 cups chicken broth – 1 teaspoon ground cumin – 1 teaspoon chili powde – 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste – 1/4 cup fresh cilantro

Ingredients

7 chicken drumsticks 1 tablespoon ginger paste salt as required 2 tablespoon soy sauce 3 tablespoon sriracha sauce 1 tablespoon honey 1/4 cup lemon juice 1 1/2 tablespoon chilli garlic paste black pepper as required 3 tablespoon schezwan sauce 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 1 handful coriander leaves

Step 1

Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps to remove excess starch and prevents the rice from becoming too sticky. In a large skillet or saucepan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the rinsed rice and cook, stirring frequently, until the rice is lightly golden brown. This should take about 5-7 minutes. This step is crucial as it gives the rice a nutty flavor and prevents it from becoming mushy.

Step 3

Add the chopped onion to the rice and cook until it becomes translucent, about 3 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute. Pour in the tomato sauce and stir to coat the rice evenly.

Step 4

Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth. Add the ground cumin, chili powder (if using), and salt. Stir well to combine.Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low.
