Cabbage steak is a great way to have cabbage with a twist of spice and a golden crust. It is easy to make and brings out the natural sweetness of cabbage with a crispy outside and soft inside. It is perfect as a light meal or side dish; here is how to make it:
1 cabbage 2 tbsp olive oil or butter 1 tsp salt ½ tsp black pepper ½ tsp red chilli powder ½ tsp garlic powder ½ tsp dried mixed herbs
Preheat oven to 200°C, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place cabbage rounds on the baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil or butter.
Sprinkle salt, black pepper, red chilli powder, garlic powder and herbs on both sides of each cabbage round.
Put the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, flip halfway until the edges are crispy and golden.
Done, remove from oven and serve hot. Enjoy your cabbage steak as a side dish!
