A well-known vegetarian meal from India's Rajasthan. It has a delicious and filling taste because to the spices and a variety of lentils used in its preparation.
1 cup mixed lentils (chana dal, urad dal, toor dal, masoor dal) 1 onion, chopped 2-3 garlic cloves, minced 1 inch ginger, grated 2 tomatoes, chopped 1 green chili, chopped 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1/2 tsp red chili powder 1/2 tsp garam masala powder Salt, to taste 2 tbsp oil Coriander leaves, chopped, for garnish
Take a pan and Rinse the mixed lentils thoroughly and soak them in water for 30 minutes.
Now In a pressure cooker, add the soaked lentils with 3 cups of water and cook for 3-4 whistles.
Now Heat oil in a pan on medium heat. Add the cumin seeds, Add the chopped onion, garlic, ginger, and green chilies.
Add the chopped tomatoes to the pan and cook until they become soft and mushy.
Now Add the coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. Add the cooked lentils to the pan.
Now mix well. Add salt to taste and cook. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
