Shikanji, or Indian lemonade, is a traditional hydrating beverage that you must have had at some point in your childhood. To beat the summer heat, you must try the 2-minute recipe of this timeless, cool drink that your grandmother must vouch for.
Lemon juice - 1/2 cup Chilled water - 4 cups Sugar - 5 tablespoons Black salt - 3/4 teaspoon Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon Amchur powder - 1/4 teaspoon Chopped mint leaves Ice cubes
Take some lemons and squeeze them to get half a cup of lemon juice.
In a jar, mix lemon juice, chilled water, and sugar. Stir well till the sugar dissolves.
Add spices like black salt, cumin powder, and amchur powder, and mix in with ice cubes.
Garnish with chopped mint leaves, and your shikanji will be ready.
If you want it to be cooler, you can refrigerate the drink till you need to serve it.
