Try These South Indian Appe For Breakfast

Appe or Appam is a popular South Indian recipe. This delicious and simple recipe is made with rice and urad dal. This snack is light and yummy. Serve it with chutneys and enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 cup dosa/idli batter 1/4 cup onions 1/4 cup carrots 1/4 cup coriander leaves 1/2 tsp ginger 1/2 tsp cumin seeds Salt to taste Oil for cooking

Step 1

Take a bowl, add the dosa or idli batter, chopped onions, grated carrots, chopped coriander leaves and grated ginger.

Step 2

Mix the batter with vegetables. Now add cumin seeds and salt to taste. Now combine all ingredients well.

Step 3

Take an Appe pan, heat it and brush oil. Once it’s hot, pour the batter into each of the moulds.

Step 4

Now take a lid and cover the pan, cook for 2-3 minutes until they are golden brown. Flip and cook on both sides.

Step 5

Take a plate and remove appe carefully. Serve hot with chutney and enjoy!
