Pandoli is a healthy snack you can prepare at home and enjoy with evening tea. It has the goodness of moong dal, fire from chillies, and earthy notes from ginger. Follow this quick guide to elevate your snacking game.
For Pandoli 1 bowl peeled moong dal 1/4 bowl fresh curd Salt as per taste 1 green chilli 1/2 bowl coriander leaves 1 piece ginger For Tempering 1 tsp oil/ghee 1 tsp cumin 1 tsp mustard 1/4 tsp asafoetida
Wash mung dal and soak it for 3-4 hours. Now mash it once again and wash it, just keep in mind that the peels should not be removed completely.
Add the pulses to the mixer grinder. Now add curd, salt, ginger, coriander leaves, and chilli. Grind the ingredients with a small amount of water.
Now take out the paste in a deep vessel and keep it in a warm place for 5-6 hours to ferment it.
Now heat oil or ghee in a pan, add chopped cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and. Pour the tempering into the batter.
Pour water into a wide vessel and tie a cotton cloth on top. Once the water boils, spread the ghee, and pour the batter little by little with a spoon.
After 10 to 15 minutes of cooking on a medium flame, apply ghee on pandoli and serve the snack with your favourite chutney.
