Salads are lightweight and refreshing in comparison to rich and creamy gravy or processed and fried foods. With summer in its full glory, it is the perfect time to indulge in a bowl of fruity raw mango salad. Here is a quick recipe to try out.
3 raw mangoes 1 teaspoon coriander leaves 1 chopped green chilli 1 sliced onion 1 tablespoon lemon juice 2 teaspoon sugar 1 teaspoon red chilli flakes 1 teaspoon mint leaves 1 teaspoon light soy sauce 1 tablespoon crushed peanuts 1 sliced carrot 1 chopped tomato 1 tablespoon ketchup
Wash the vegetables and fruits thoroughly to remove dirt, dust, and any residue. Julienne raw mangoes, carrots, and onion.
Toss the ingredients in a salad bowl along with chopped tomatoes, coriander leaves, and mint leaves.
Prepare dressing by whisking soy sauce, and ketchup. Chilli flakes, sugar, and lemon juice. Keep it aside.
Add salt to taste to the ingredients and pour in the dressing. Toss around vegetables and mangoes to ensure the dressing coats every bit of the ingredients.
Add crushed peanuts on the top. You can also add toasted sesame seeds for a crunch.
Serve the salad immediately after adding peanuts to ensure there is a crunch in every bite. Enjoy a delicious fruity bowl without guilt.
