Maharashtrian bhel puri is a perfect choice for evening snacks. It is a non-fried snack that you can serve quickly along with tea and refreshing beverages. It hardly takes any time to make and tastes delicious. Here is the recipe.
1 boiled potato 2 cups puffed rice 2 teaspoons tamarind chutney 3 teaspoons green chutney 1-2 chopped green chillies 2 tablespoons roasted peanuts 1 chopped onion 1 chopped tomato 5-6 crushed papdi ¼ cup sev 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 tablespoon chopped coriander Chaat masala to taste
In a large bowl, add puffed rice and chopped boiled potatoes, onions, and tomatoes (optional).
After tossing them together, pour tamarind and green chutneys into the mix.
Drop chopped green chillies and peanuts into the bowl. Mix the ingredients rigorously.
Top the bhel puri with crushed papdi and lemon juice.
After mixing everything, sprinkle chaat masala and black salt (optional).
Serve immediately after topping with fresh coriander leaves and sev.
