Try Bhojpuri-Style Bafauri For Your Shaam Ki Chai

Bafauri is a chana dal-based steamed snack that makes a perfect snack to pair with your cup of tea. It resembles dal vada but is a healthier alternative. 

Ingredients

2 cups soaked chana dal 1 onion, finely chopped 2-3 green chillies, finely chopped 1/2 tsp ajwain 1-2 tsp roasted jeera powder 2-3 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped to taste salt

Step 1

Add the soaked chana dal in mixer grinder and make a smooth paste. Add all the other ingredients in the paste and mix well.

Step 2

Heat a steamer and grease it well. Now, make small roundels out of the paste and add to the steamer. Steam it for at least 15-20 minutes.  

Step 3

Once the pakoda is cooked, transfer them to a bowl. Serve hot with chutney of your choice.
