If you are thinking about multiple ways to add beetroot to your diet, make a sandwich. It is delicious, wholesome, and a sure solution for your hunger pangs. Moreover, you can enjoy this snack without any guilt. Here is a recipe.
1 chopped onion 1 grated carrot 2 boiled, grated beetroots 2 tablespoons spread of your choice 1 chopped cucumber 1 chopped green chilli Salt to taste Black pepper to taste 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 tablespoon chopped coriander Lettuce leaves Bread
In a large bowl mix all the vegetables mentioned in the ingredient list.
Add the spread of your choice along with salt and black pepper to taste. You can also sprinkle red chilli powder.
Add chopped coriander leaves and set the combination aside for a few minutes.
Spread a thin layer of butter on slices of bread along with a small amount of spread.
Layer a lettuce leaf and a generous amount of beetroot mixture. Top it with another slice of bread.
Grill the sandwich until the crust turns brown and crispy. Enjoy it with your favourite sauce.
