The inherent sweetness of ripe bananas is combined with the richness of milk and aromatic spices in this traditional Indian sweet dish.
2 ripe bananas ( mashed) 4 cups milk 1/4 cup basmati rice (washed and soaked) 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 tsp cardamom powder A pinch of saffron Chopped nuts
Boil milk and add soaked rice to the boiling milk. Stir occasionally until the rice is cooked and the milk thickens.
Now Mash the ripe bananas, Add the mashed bananas to the milk-rice mixture and stir well.
Add sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron strands. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Now let the kheer cool down. Once cooled, refrigerate the kheer for a few hours.
Serve the Banana Kheer chilled in bowls, garnished with chopped nuts of your choice. Enjoy!
