If you are looking for a healthy breakfast option, make sure you pick out tricolour-themed food on the morning of Independence Day. Take a look at the tricolour salad, which can help you enjoy and celebrate Independence Day with a healthy twist.
For The Saffron Layer (Orange): 1 cup diced papaya or muskmelon
For The White Layer: 1 cup diced apple 1 cup diced pear 1 cup diced coconut (fresh or desiccated)
For The Green Layer: 1 cup diced kiwi 1 cup diced grapes (green and red) A few mint leaves
For The Dressing: 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1 tablespoon honey A pinch of black salt
Dice the fruits into small, uniform pieces.
In a large bowl, layer the fruits in the order of green, white, and saffron to resemble the Indian flag.
Mix lemon juice, honey, and black salt to create a simple dressing. Drizzle and serve.
