If you want to try something unique and delicious, you must try Sal Patta chicken from tribal cuisine in Jharkhand. This special roasted chicken is made from the local tree, which is famous for its wood production and tastes delicious.
1 kg chicken 1 bunch sal leaves 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon chicken masala Salt to taste
Combine chicken pieces with oil, chicken masala, cumin seeds, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, and water.
Wrap them in sal leaves tightly.
Burn the leaves in an open flame. You can steam or even use coals.
Once the leaves are completely burnt, let it cool down.
Serve hot with rice or roti.
