There are admirers of it all around the world, making it one of those desserts that is quite popular. An exquisite recipe for banoffee pie that is perfect for weekend indulgence is provided here.
The pie tin needs to be prepared first by being butter-greased.
The biscuits should be added to a food processor and pulsed until a wet crumble consistency is achieved. Add the melted butter to the processor. Combine thoroughly by mixing well.
Transferring the biscuit mixture to the prepared pie pan, shape it into a pie using your hands or the back of a spoon. Once finished, chill the pie pan for about 30 minutes to allow the filling to set.
In the meantime, combine sugar and whipping cream in a bowl. Use a hand blender to whip the cream at medium speed until it is frothy and straight.
After taking the pie pan out of the refrigerator, layer the crust with the banana slices. Use a spatula to evenly distribute a large coating of toffee filling.
Add some swirls of chocolate and the whipped cream mixture on top. Before serving, place it in the fridge for about 1-2 hours. The pie is done!
