Believed to have a cooling effect on the body, coconut is the perfect food to indulge in this summer. Combine the fruit with milk and cream to craft a delectable and an enriching coconut ice cream dish. Here’s a simple homemade recipe for the same.
2 cups milk 1 cup cream ¼ cup milk powder ½ cup condensed milk ½ cup shredded coconut ½ teaspoon cardamom powder A few crushed pistachios and almonds for garnish (optional) A set of ice cream moulds
Combine milk, cream, condensed milk, and milk powder in a pan. Mix thoroughly and allow the concoction to cook till it becomes dense.
Add shredded coconut and cardamom powder to the concoction, and mix thoroughly. Allow the concoction to cook for about 2 minutes till becomes creamy.
Cool the concoction, and then pour it carefully into ice cream moulds. Let the moulds freeze for approximately 8 hours or till the ice cream has set entirely.
Remove the ice cream from the moulds and garnish it with crushed nuts for added flavour and texture. Enjoy!
