The flower of this crop is edible and makes a delicious regional delicacy. Try this sanai phool saag recipe!

Ingredients

Sanai Phool (Jute Flowers) Onions Garlic Green chilli Turmeric powder Red chilli powder Coriander powder Cumin seeds Mustard seeds Fenugreek seeds Salt to taste Oil

Step 1

Wash and boil the Sanai Phool thoroughly.

Step 2

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and fenugreek seeds with chopped onion and garlic. 

Step 3

Then, add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and coriander powder with jute flowers along with salt.

Step 4

Cover and cook for a few more minutes until the saag is tender.

Step 5

Serve hot with roti or rice.
