A thecha is a traditional Maharashtrian condiment known for its high spice level due to ingredients like chillies, garlic, and other spices taking the front seat in this preparation. Thecha can be enjoyed with a variety of dishes, be it roti, rice, or any curry.
10–12 green chillies 5–6 garlic cloves 1/4 cup roasted peanuts 1 tablespoon of oil Salt to taste
In a skillet with hot oil, sauté garlic and green chillies until they start to turn golden brown.
Using a mortar and pestle, pound the roasted peanuts, garlic, and chillies until a coarse mixture is obtained.
Add salt for seasoning and blend thoroughly.
Serve as an accompaniment to rice, roti, or bhakri.
