Churma ke laddu is a delectable traditional Indian sweet made from wheat flour, ghee, and jaggery. This guide will show you how to create these mouth-watering laddus in your own kitchen, step-by-step.
3 cups coarse wheat flour ¾ cup ghee Water, for kneading Oil or ghee, for frying 3 tbsp chopped almonds 3 tbsp chopped cashews 3 tbsp raisins 2 cups jaggery ½ tsp cardamom powder 2 tbsp poppy seeds
Mix 3 cups of wheat flour and ½ cup ghee in a large bowl. Add water as needed and knead into a smooth, tight dough.
Shape the dough into small balls and flatten with fingers. Deep fry the flattened dough in medium hot ghee until golden brown.
Cool the fried dough completely, then grind into a coarse powder. Heat ¼ cup ghee in a pan and roast almonds, cashews, and raisins.
Melt 2 cups of jaggery in the same ghee without adding water.
Combine the jaggery with the powdered mixture, nuts, cardamom, and poppy seeds. Mix well and shape into laddus; add melted ghee if the mixture is dry.
