Theplas are a much loved Gujarati snack staple, but it takes some skill to get the texture just right.  Here are some ways you can make them flawlessly every time.

Top Tip #1

Skip adding besan and yoghurt to make the theplas last longer and stay fresh if taking them on a trip. 

Top Tip #2

If you want the dough to be softer and last longer, add a few tablespoons of oil while preparing it.

Top Tip #3

To prolong the shelf life of theplas, allow them to cool completely before storing.

Top Tip #4

Theplas will stay fresh for 2-3 days at room temperature and up to 2 weeks in the fridge.
