Enjoy the taste of tomato bhajia, a crispy and aromatic snack, on a rainy day. These delicious Indian-style tomato fritters are ideal for a cosy evening. Savour them with tea and chutney.
3 medium tomatoes, sliced 1 cup chickpea flour (besan) 1 teaspoon red chilly powder 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds Salt to taste Chaat masala Water as needed Oil for frying Fresh coriander for garnish (optional)
Take a bowl and add in chickpea flour, turmeric powder , red chilli powder, cumin seeds, and salt. Add water to form a thick and smooth batter.
Now, wash medium tomatoes and evenly slice them into thick rounds. In a deep pan, add oil. Heat it for frying. Check by adding a few batter drops.
Now, carefully drop the batter-coated tomato slices into the hot oil. Fry until they are crispy and golden brown.
Take a napkin and drain the excess oil. On a plate, serve the tomato bhajja with mint chutney. Enjoy the rainy-day treat!
