‘tis the season of Halwas, and while carrots have a bit of a monopoly in the realm, it isn't fair to leave other winter staples like Fig behind, right? Here’s how to make Anjeer Halwa.
1.25 cup dried figs 3 tablespoon Ghee 1/2 cup blanched peeled almonds 4 tablespoon Sugar 5 tablespoon milk powder 1/4 teaspoon Cardamom Few Almond slivers
Heat the ghee in another pan, add the powdered almonds, mix well and cook on a medium flame. Stir.
Add the puréed figs, milk powder, sugar and ½ cup of water, mix well and cook on a medium flame and stir. Add the cardamom powder, mix well.
Serve hot garnished with almond slivers
