Tandoori Chicken is an all-time favourite snack all over India. But did you know that you can get restaurant-level results at home too? Here’s how.
Marinate the chicken in a mixture of yoghurt, spices and lemon juice for at least 4-6 hours, overnight marination would give the best results.
Mix the spices evenly so that every bite of the chicken has the same taste.
Cook the chicken in a tandoor oven or a grill at high heat, around 200°C - 250°C. This will help to get that perfectly charred texture and smoky flavour.
Skewer the chicken pieces so that they cook evenly. This will also help in removing the chicken from the tandoor or grill easily.
Baste the chicken pieces with oil or butter to keep them moist while cooking.
Take the chicken out of the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. This will help to redistribute the juices evenly.
