Always try to soak your dal and rice at least overnight to get the right consistency.
Never use cold batter. Use the batter only at room temperature.
Soak the rice and dal separately as dal requires more water than rice.
Check the consistency of the batter. It should not be too thin or thick. Keep it flowy.
