Now that winter has arrived, it's time to cuddle up in warm sweaters and enjoy hearty, delicious traditional Indian meals prepared with jaggery and sesame seeds. This simple halwa recipe is loaded with nutrients and will keep the body warm and strong.

1 ½ Cup almond 1 ½ Cup jaggery ½ cup sesame seed Water as necessary 2 Tbsp ghee ½ teaspoon cardamom powder 2-3 saffron strands

Take almonds and soak them in warm water to remove the peels.

Heat a pan and add ghee. When the ghee melts add the badam paste and keep stirring.

Add sesame seeds, cardamom powder, and saffron strands, and keep cooking.

Take a pan and make jaggery syrup with water and pour it over the halwa. Cook all the ingredients together.
