Rather than gin and vermouth, like a classic cocktail, the Pornstar Martini combines Vanilla Vodka with passionfruit for a sweeter, tropical twist.
Ghanaian-born bartender Douglas Ankrah created this drink at London’s Townhouse Bar in 2002.
Fun Fact: The name was mainly chosen just to spark conversation! Although Ankrah did imagine that the vivid, exotic cocktail may be something a porn star would drink.
2 oz vanilla vodka 1 oz passion fruit liqueur 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice 1 oz simple syrup 1 passion fruit (for garnish) Prosecco (for serving)
Fill a shaker with ice and add vanilla vodka, passion fruit liqueur, lime juice, and simple syrup.
Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds and strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass.
Cut the passion fruit in half and scoop out the pulp. Place the passion fruit pulp on top of the drink.
Serve with a shot glass of chilled Prosecco either on the side or to top it off.
