Whenever we talk of Middle Eatern Cuisine, many dishes wouldn’t be complete without the spice mix called za’atar. The spice brings out the flavour of food. Variation of this herb and spice blend dates back to medieval times. It is a common ingredient in all the countries of Middle East. Chcek out how to make this at home:
1 tbsp dried thyme 1 tbsp cumin 1 tbsp coriander 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds 1tbsp sumac ½ tsp kosher salt ¼ tsp chilli flakes
Gather all the ingredients
Roast whole seeds – cumin seeds and coriander seeds.
Grind sesame seeds in a food process
Take a bowl and mix all the ingredients well.
