Murukku is a traditional Indian snack prepared in households to relish with tea. It is crispy, lightweight, and utterly delicious. While it is popular to make it with rice flour; this Lohri, you can use ragi flour instead. Follow this easy recipe.
Oil for frying ½ cup ragi flour 1 tsp oil Water as needed 1 tbsp besan ¼ cup rice flour ¼ tsp ajwain Salt to taste A pinch of asafetida
Combine all the flours in a bowl along with salt, ajwain, and asafoetida.
Pour a teaspoon of hot oil and knead the mixture into a soft dough using water.
After resting the dough for 10-15 minutes, fill it inside a murukku maker.
Grease a tray with a teaspoon of oil and start shaping murukku.
Using the machine, you can easily make chakli with concentric circles.
Deep-fry murukku, serve and enjoy with tea.
