Shrikhand, is a famous sweet dish in India. It is made with strained yogurt, powdered sugar, saffron, cardamom, and milk. This dish is super refreshing and easy to make.
1 kg thick curds (dahi) 1/2 cup powdered sugar a few saffron (kesar) strands 1 tbsp warm milk 1/2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder Garnish For The Shrikhand 1 tbsp pistachio slivers 1 tbsp almond (badam)
To begin the shrikhand making process. In a cool location hang the curds in a muslin cloth to drain off the liquid.
Now, take a pan in warm milk add some saffron strands and mix. Now check the curd and open it.
In a bowl mix the hung curds, sugar, saffron mixture and cardamom. Make a nice paste the consistency will be little thick.
Garnish this dish with kesar, elaichi or pistachios and almonds. Serve it cool and enjoy!
