This Diwali, Make Khoya Shrikhand For Festive Spread

Diwali is about food, lights, and good vibes. Make it more special by preparing delicious and nutritious khoya shrikhand at home. Follow this step-by-step guide.

Ingredients

2 cups full-fat plain yoghurt (curd) 1 cup hung curd 2 tbsp chopped nuts for garnish A pinch of saffron strands 1 tsp rose water 1/2 cup khoya, grated or crumbled 1/2 tsp cardamom powder 2 tbsp cold water 2 tbsp warm milk (to soak saffron) 1/2-3/4 cup powdered sugar 1 tbsp raisins

Step 1

Add curd in a muslin cloth and leave it aside for 4 hours for the excess water to drain.

Step 2

In warm milk, add saffron strands and keep them aside for 20 minutes.

Step 3

Mix hung curd with crumbled khoya to make a creamy mix.

Step 4

Add powdered sugar to the bowl and stir the mixture until it dissolves.

Step 5

Add rose water, saffron milk, and chopped nuts and raisins.

Step 6

Let the mixture refrigerate and serve.
